Brick granulate is an excellent surface material for tennis courts. Brick-based surfaces are also well suited for running tracks and sports fields due to their very good cushioning and sliding properties. Playing and training on such surfaces reduces the load on the joints, which may contribute to a lower risk of injuries. We particularly recommend brick granulate made from loess bricks, as it contains fewer sharp-edged particles compared with products made from other types of clay.
For the construction of a tennis court with overall dimensions of 36.6 × 18.3 m (area: 670 m2), approximately 40–44 tonnes of brick granulate with clay and approximately 1–2 tonnes of pure brick granulate are required.
