The advantages of handmade bricks we have written many times. We know and appreciate bricks for thousands of years. In this article we will focus on the types of solid bricks. Briefly characterize each of the popular groups of bricks.

Types of solid bricks

Solid brick they can be divided according to a wide variety of parameters, factors and aspects. Generally, we can divide them into: dried bricks, tiles, lime-sand, fireclay magnetized and clinker.

Solid bricks – bricks dried

The oldest type of brick. Currently rarely used because of its performance. Brick dried easily absorbs moisture, and has a low resistance to mechanical damage. It is as solid brick.

Solid bricks – ceramic bricks

This type of solid brick is created from inorganic, organic and compound magnesite. It is heated at 700 degrees Celsius. It has up to three times more heat accumulation capacity of firebrick.

Solid bricks – clinker brick

An improved version of the faced brick. Clinker brick because of its high compressive strength and low water absorption ideally suited for lining reservoirs, sewers and other structures having direct contact with water. Is fired at a temperature of 100 degrees Celsius and is formed from a mixture of sand and clay.
